Overall on the LatSnacks scale it’s not quite Sour Patch Watermelon but certainly Sour Cream and Onion Lays.

With plenty of replay value this this is short and sweet and should be listened to by all. Now I listened to them both, but I think I'll blog this one. 2 more plays and i’m dancing like a young Michael Scott.Įxecutive produced by !llmind, some exceptional features from Blackbear and KYLE, Hoodie puts together an incredibly enjoyable project. Hoodie Allen - 'No Interruption' (Acoustic) This guy in band with me was singing this before the pregame show, and he said the acoustic version was better. Towards the end of the song Hoodie transitions into an 808 Kanye style autotune breakdown which surprised me after first listen. The pop allure of pop-rap is easy to spot on Hoodie Allens EP Americoustic, as these guitar-strumming versions of the hip-hoppers early work could smoothly bridge Jack Johnson and Sublime on any given mixtape. A very piano heavy driven beat with monster drums makes this anthemic track one of the many stand-outs from this project. In my mind this is the 2016 version of his breakout hit, “No Interruption”. Though you may not agree yourself, my favorite song on the project is, “So Close to Happiness”. There is a 99.9% chance you will singing and dancing to this song in your car by yourself like I do on a regular basis. With a very Chance The Rapper-esque vibe this song takes you back to those days L riding with your homies in High School. Ome catchy-ass music and this is no different. This summertime anthem will have you clicking replay before the song even ends. Hoodie delves into the same stresses every 20- something goes through daily but does it all while you have a smile on your face.Īnother stand out track from the project is, “Remind Me Of”. Hoodie opens the album with the upbeat track, “Intro To Anxiety” produced by an artist you are surely sleeping on William Bolton whose piano and bass heavy beat makes you dive head first into this album and make you want to see whats next. This album is perfect for the old Hoodie fans who were hoping he’d stick to his roots as well as expand as an artist to reach a broader audience.
